1974 Cadillac / Miller-Meteor Combination

Jerry Jacobson has liked pro cars since high school. After he retired from running the family machine shop, he decided that it was finally time to get one. While surfing the web, he found the PCS website and started doing some research. He decided that he liked combinations, and there was a '74 down at CW Coach that he wanted to see.

Jerry drove down to Cinci with a friend, and Carl walked them over to the '74. Carl said: "Look it over, and let me know if you want it. I'll be across the street at my hubcap store." After a thorough inspection, Jerry decided that this was the car he wanted. He managed to cross the busy street and track down Carl. "I'll take that '74, but these high-pressure used-car-salesman tactics just have to stop!"

During the Winter of 2002-2003, the Jerry treated the Blue Beast to a fresh paint job and other restoration. Mind you, BB was not a bad-looking car before this!

Now that's a lot of masking paper!

Jerry likes the elegant flat roofline- classic Miller-Meteor styling at it's best. The roof also has that old-time distinctive crinkle paint, rather than a vinyl top.

Here's a pre-restoration photo of the Blue Beast in the Marble Orchard. M-M combinations have flat sections of the floor that can be flipped over to bring the casket rollers into play. One would suppose that it would be much easier to take a nap in the back cabin without the typical protruding flip-over rollers that everyone complains about.

But with a combination, you can always take a nap on the gurney! They're really comfortable. Here's the Beast in the Hotel Parking Lot in Grand Rapids for the 2002 PCS International Meet. Full-View beacons on the roof. Yeah!

Another shot from Grand Rapids. Jerry is a member of the Buckeye Chapter of the Professional Car Society, and now an Eerie Shores member, too.
