So what can you listen to while you're driving your hearse? If you've got an older car, just the roar of the engine and the wind rushing by. In most states they won't let you play your siren while on a public road, so don't even try! Many hearses were ordered "Radio Delete", with a metal panel where the radio would go. I guess they didn't want the driver listening to ball games or bopping along to Motown during a funeral! If you've got a newer car, have installed a sound system, or don't mind carrying a boom box there are lots of possibilities. Don't fear the Reaper by BOC is an obvious choice. If you're more classically inclined, the Tocatta & Fugue in d minor by J.S. Bach and O Fortuna from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff will let 'em know you're coming. |

E. J. Wells and the Haymakers are a must! E.J. writes an appealing mix of Mortuary Melodies and blood-soaked Wild West tunes. Rhyolite is his current CD, well worth purchasing. Cemetery Man and Downstairs at the Funeral Home are guaranteed to be the most disturbing to passersby, but they're all gems. His next CD release should contain I Drive a Hearse which is the official Eerie Shores anthem. Let him know you heard about him from Eerie Shores and make him smile. One of these days maybe we can talk him into getting his own little doom buggy and hitting the road with us! |
